Single Tank Systems Multi Tank System
Many manufacturers produce single tank systems to reduce their construction costs. The challenge is that these systems increase the likelihood of cross contamination of aerobic and anaerobic processes during periods of hydraulic loading. Turbojet's multi-tank system (anaerobic, aerobic and sterilization) is extremely complex to manufacture and install. However, the benefits of eliminating the possibility of cross contamination and the subsequent failure of the wastewater process, far exceeds the disadvantages.

UV Sterilization Sterilization through Chlorination

UV technology is often believed to be superior or safer than chlorination, because of the lack of chemicals. However its effectiveness is severely compromised by algal growth on the system's light sources. When purchasing a treatment system that utilizes UV sterilization bear in mind the additional costs associated with scraping algal growth off the light source. Additionally because UV treated water has no residual sterilization properties, it is possible that pathogen populations can sometimes regrow after treatment which can pose a health risk on contact.

The process of sterilization by chlorinating the wastewater provides a consistent, cost effective and long lasting effect on any pathogen populations present in the water.

The system does not require expensive scraping and is not subject to reduced effectiveness due to algal growth.

Humus Build Up No Humus Build Up

Some aerated wastewater treatment systems (which have not been properly designed) or biological systems such as composting toilets produce a substance called humus which must be scraped away or removed on an annual basis. Due to the pathogen populations present, the humus poses a serious risk to humans and must be dumped away from human contact.

Icon-Septech's design continuously recycles the humus build up back into the primary anaerobic tank until it is broken down by the anaerobic bacteria and leaves the system as crystal clear water suitable for irrigation.
High Energy Use Energy Efficiency

Aerated wastewater systems can consume more energy than some other systems, however they can have a greater capacity to reduce biological oxygen demand which adversely impacts on the environment.

Designed to be truly energy efficient, Icon-Septech's insulated pump system uses less energy than normal aerated systems. The Turbojet system operates on average for about 6-8 hours per day for a full family home, compared to the 24 hour cycle of some other systems.

Above Ground Ports & Flashing Lights Microprocessor Hardwired Components

The pumps, boxes and flashing lights are an eyesore in your garden, and most non-stainless steel components are susceptible to condensation and corrosion.

Icon-Septech's systems are smart systems. This means that the advanced microprocessor controls and hard-wired components ensure trouble free, fool proof operation with minimal input from the operator. The advanced microprocessor control unit can be mounted on a house, out of the way and is easily operated by the home owner. Additionally the system cannot be unplugged accidentally.

Plastic Tanks Pre-Cast Durable Concrete Tanks

Plastic tanks may be damaged by bush fires, or natural soil movement. They are also more susceptible to popping out of the ground during high rainfall due to their low weight.

Icon-Septech's super strong pre-cast concrete designs are impervious to bushfire damage and resistant to soil movement.
